Frequently Asked Questions

Edinburgh Apartment

Is there Wi-Fi?

Yes there is free WiFi throughout the apartment.

Can I walk to visitor attractions from the apartment?

Absolutely.  The furthest main attraction is the Royal Mile with its Castle at one end and Royal Palace at the other, this would take you half an hour at most via the lovely Georgian New Town.

Can I park my car?

There is lots of on street parking directly outside the apartment on Bellevue Terrace.  Parking is metered from 8.30am to 5.30pm from Monday to Friday and costs £4.00 per hour.  It is free during the evenings and at weekends.

Can I check in early/check out late?

If available and you would like to arrange an early check in or late check out, it’s an additional cost of £150, depending on our availability that day.

Can I arrive late in the evening?

That’s no problem as long as you let us know in advance.

What is the minimum booking period?

Three nights throughout the year, with the exception of August, Christmas and New Year when it’s a week.

Is there a hairdryer?

Yes!

Where are the nearest food shops?

There is a Tesco supermarket at Canonmills – a short five minute walk away.  Broughton Street, which is a few minutes walk from the apartment has a good butcher – Crombies (in Broughton Market), fishmonger – Something Fishy, an organic food shop – Real Foods – as well as a eclectic mix of boutiques, cafes, restaurants, bars and delis.

How do I reach the apartment from Edinburgh Airport?

Take the tram (a single is £7.50 and a return £9.50) to the last stop on Picardy Place.  The journey time is 35 minutes and 1 Bellevue Terrace is less than 10 minutes walk down Broughton Street.  You could take the bus – Airlink 100 ( a single is £8) – they run every 10 minutes to Waverley Bridge, which is close to the station and Princes Street.  If you are arriving by train to Waverley you can take a taxi – it’s a short ride and shouldn’t cost you more than £8.

Can I bring my dog?

I’m afraid we don’t allow dogs in the Edinburgh apartment, we do however welcome dogs at our holiday cottages in south west Scotland and there are lots of lovely walks for them around the estate and down to the sea (www.corsewallestate.com)

Do you provide linen?

Absolutely, we provide guests with crisp white linen sheets and large bath sheets, hand towels and a bathmat

What’s the bedding like?

We provide thick feather filled duvets and pillows for all the beds.

Is there a shower?

Yes! We installed a powerful shower over the bath at the beginning of 2019.

Is there parking?

There is metered on street parking on Bellevue Terrace.  It is metered Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 5.30pm and costs £4 per hour.  It’s free during the evenings and all weekend.  Feeding the meter the night before means you don’t have to worry about the car in the morning.
